The people around the world is might praising and talking about the Filipino Icons, Manny Pacquiao while Jamir Design website is going on top of the search engine (I hope and well, almost!).
It’s been a years and months when I have nothing but my website. But after the hard work, I can finally said that I have it almost.
The purpose of this post is to give you a background how I made it to the top.
First, I’m using the StatCounter.com. This tools is widely used by all webmasters around the world and has a Page Rank of 8 out of 10, while having a Traffic Rank of 1,338 in Alexa. A free yet reliable invisible web tracker, highly configurable hit counter and real-time detailed web stats.
The ‘Summary Stats‘ determines whether a visitor has been to your website before by using a cookie. So if a user has cookies disabled we have no way of knowing if they are unique or not, and will by default be considered unique. However the majority of visitors have cookies enabled.
To make up for relying on cookies in the summary stats, the rest of the stats are based on your detailed log analysis of the last xxx number of pageloads. The uniqueness in this case is based on your visitors’ IP addresses. This method works very well for the majority, but yet again there is an exception. AOL users, and visitors who use what is known as a ‘dynamic web proxy’ that changes each time they access a webpage. So if a single AOL user visits 7 webpages on your website it will likely come up as 7 different IP addresses!
Both cookies and IP addresses have their strengths and weaknesses for determining the uniqueness of a visitor. It is impossible to be 100% accurate the entire time, but with the Standard StatCounter Project you get the best of both worlds. Cookies for the ‘Summary Stats’ and IP addresses for the ‘Detailed Log Analysis’!
After the summary stats, one of the nicest features that I really like about StatCounter.com is the Recent Visitors Activity. The visitor stats are superb for showing you up to the second the latest visitor activity on your website. It displays and lists in great detail the most recent visitors to your website. If you want to see what paths these visitors are taking through your website you can click the ‘magnifying glass’ next to each visitor or you can use the superb path stats to list multiple paths on one page!
It’s been quite amazing how this software/website help me analyze to reach the top. And you know why I like this tools? It’s simply because:
- Free, Fast, Responsive, Quick loading and Reliable Service.
- Invisible Tracking – no ads on your website.
- Accurate real-time website statistics with detailed visitor tracking and analysis.
If you want to reach the top and beat Manny Pacquiao, you just need strategy and when you are on top you already had the power.
More power Manny and you really made a history for the Filipino!
