Holy Red-nosed Reindeer! It’s another vector-art greeting card contest by Foldees.com – the ultimate designer greeting card portal!

For our second contest, Foldees is decking the halls with our love for comic books! We’re looking for some people with great ideas for comic-book themed greeting cards! They can look like comic book covers, be designed as a comic strip, or even just depicting any sorta comic book artwork – be it anime, American, classic… anything goes!

From today until the 20th of October 2008, we’d like YOU to submit your design here and win up to US$2500 worth of prizes! After that, we open the site up for ratings and reviews, and the best rated greeting cards will get to dip their hands into Santa’s Bag’o’Gadgets!

This time around, Santa’s asked us to give out our gifts a bit differently than from our last contest. The top ten rated cards will all get to choose what they win! That’s right – this means that 1st place will choose first, followed by 2nd place, 3rd and 4th and so on! This means everyone ends up with something they want, rather than just something bigger or better!

How to Participate?
Simply download our AI template here, use it to design a card and upload the complete AI file back to our contest site www.foldees.com/contestentry.aspx with your details before 20th October 2008!

Here’s the catch. You’re not allowed to use any raster images, gradients or opacities for your cards. All cards have to be created using only solid colour vector art in Adobe Illustrator. This excludes not only JPG or TIFF images, but also any form of shadowing, filters or transparencies of colour. Only amateurs don’t draw their own shadows right? Get creative and we’d love to see what you can come up with.
