We want things in the blink of an eye. Your visitors expect nothing less when they land on your site. You've only got a couple of seconds before they hit that back button.... and they are gone... to a faster site that will give them the information they want instantly! Here are 10 quick tips for decreasing the load time on your graphics. 1. Use Height and Width (Size) Attributes. Example: width="144" height="259" Every time a browser loads a webpage it looks for the the height and width attributes (size) of each image in your html code so it knows how to lay out the text and the graphics on that page. This all takes place instantly behind the scenes. When the proper attributes are used, the browser loads the text before the graphics. This is good. It's faster this way. If you don't use the attributes, it causes a delay waiting for the browser to download the images first and then lay out the text. The browser has to play catchup. It can't load text ...

Besides from online Color Picker, this post is the one that I can recommend to all those Web Designers and Graphic Artist. Over the last few years, all of the major browsers have included support for a special set of 140 colors that are recognized by their color name within HTML or CSS code. This means that rather than having to remember that the color orange is specified with the hex code “#FFA500″, you can simply type the word “orange” when specifying a color in your code and the browser will automatically translate it to its hex code. You can visit the Color Schemer for handy reference list of all 140 browser-supported named colors, which you can quickly sort by color family or name. The image files are much larger than compressed files, but can be opened in all image-processing programs. This high quality file (which is lossless compared with a JPEG) can also contain colour management profiles and be colour separated. JPEG - The most commonly used digital image format is JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group). Universally compatible with browsers, viewers, and image editing software, it allows photographic images to be compressed by a factor 10 to 20 compared to the uncompressed original with very little visible loss in image quality.
